Sound healing

Journey through harmonic vibrations to induce a meditative and healing experience.

A sound journey, also known as a sound healing session, involves the use of sound frequencies from various instruments like singing bowls, gongs, chimes, and tuning forks to guide the body and mind into a state of deep relaxation and meditation. Participants usually lie down or sit comfortably, allowing the sound waves to wash over them. The practitioner plays the instruments, creating a soundscape designed to reduce stress, balance energy, and promote healing on physical, mental, and emotional levels.

How sound bowls affect brain waves

Sound bowls, particularly crystal and Tibetan singing bowls, produce harmonic vibrations that can alter brainwave activity. The steady, soothing tones produced by the bowls can help shift the brain into lower frequency states, such as:

  • Alpha waves (8-12 Hz): Associated with relaxation, calmness, and a light meditative state.
  • Theta waves (4-8 Hz): Often achieved in deep meditation or during REM sleep, linked to creativity, deep relaxation, and access to the subconscious.
  • Delta waves (0.5-4 Hz): Present during deep sleep and healing states, promoting rest and restoration.

These altered brainwave states can induce a meditative and healing experience, helping individuals access deeper relaxation, enhance emotional release, and promote overall well-being.

It is common to experience a variety of expressions during a session such as: joy, love, peace, serenity, pain, grief, sadness, sensuality, shame, doubt, and fears. All forms of expression are welcome and supported during the session. It's best to let go of any expectations and allow yourself to show up and acknowledge what comes up for you during your session.

After the session you'll enter into an integration process where you can take the insights and newly reached awareness towards your life. Support and resources will be provided with the best intentions.
